Omikron Capital has sold 100% of the shares in ZAP-Mechanika, a leading provider of metal machining services in CNC technology, delivering an above-average return on this investment. The new owner of the company is PONAR Wadowice – the largest Polish manufacturer of hydraulic components and systems.

ZAP-Mechanika was established in 2001 following the carve-out of the machining operations of a state-owned enterprise. The company has become one of the leading Polish businesses specialised in precision metal machining, offering a broad range of services including machining, high-temperature carburising, hardening, precise quality control and component assembly.

Omikron Capital acquired ZAP-Mechanika from private owners in 2020, supporting the management team in the further development of the company. During Omikron Capital’s investment, the company doubled its scale, generating revenues of over PLN 56 million in 2024 and building strong momentum for continued sustainable growth. The transaction is in line with Omikron Capital’s strategy of building the value of Polish industrial companies and supporting owners in an orderly succession process.

By acquiring ZAP-Mechanika, PONAR Wadowice will significantly increase its production capacity and competences in precision metal machining, which will support its dynamic growth and allow it to better capitalise on the potential of the defence sector. For ZAP-Mechanika, the transaction means joining a strong industrial group and entering the next stage of its long-term development.
